Evaluation of Research Activities of CAS Institutes, 2020–2024

Overview

A comprehensive information system built for the Czech Academy of Sciences to acquire qualitative and quantitative data about the position of science in the CAS during 2020–2024, in national, European, and global context. The system manages the full evaluation lifecycle — from data collection and peer review to final reporting.

The Challenge

The Academy needed to evaluate dozens of research institutes across multiple scientific disciplines using a standardized but flexible process. The previous approach relied on spreadsheets and manual coordination, making it slow, error-prone, and difficult to audit.

Our Solution

We built a full-stack Jmix application with role-based access for evaluators, institute representatives, and administrators. The system handles structured data entry, document uploads, peer-to-peer review workflows, and automated report generation — all within a single platform.
